B. PHILOSOPHIA JOURNAL PUBLICATIONS

In 2002, PNPRS continued the publication of the "Sophia" journal, but changed the name to "Philosophia" to differentiate it from the former’s name. There was, however, the intention to make the journal an international one with two to four foreign contributors in addition to local writers in every issue. It was meant to be biannual, appearing every January and May of each year. Since then, the journal has been regularly coming out even before the months of January and May because regularity of publication is a requirement of Thomson Reuters. "Philosophia" is indexed in Thomson Reuters, Scopus, EBSCO, The Philosopher’s Index, C & E Journal Database, and Asean Citation Index. The overall number of issues from 2000 to 2017 is 36 (in 18 volumes).

C. TEXTBOOK PUBLISHING

PNPRS embarked on textbook making and publishing. It published a introductory textbook in philosophy entitled "The philosophical landscape." It ran into several editions, the last of which was the 5th edition (2008). The first edition has 182 pages; second edition, 278 pages; third edition, 324 pages; fourth edition, 355 pages; and the fifth edition, 621 pages. However, print publishing has become prohibitive and there is the tendency to go online and publish only when there is an order. So PNPRS holds this activity in abeyance.
